History
Global Renewable Energy Ltd. (GREL) started its journey in the renewable energy sector in 2007 by the name of its sister concern Construction (BD). Later in 2018, GREL evolved to meet the ever-increasing demand for renewable energy, environment, and sustainable agriculture. Our commitment and partnerships with our customers, and continuous investment in facilities, equipment, and cutting-edge technologies have made us a market leader in renewable energy consultancy. We are the pioneer in Bangladesh for wind energy resource study. With NREL and HARNESS Energy, USA we have completed the first Bangladesh wind mapping project.
At present we are working on the development of new wind feasibility projects in the southern part of Bangladesh. Other than wind projects, we are actively working with different industries like Garments, Textiles, Cold Storage, Auto Rice Mills, and FMCGs to develop grid-tied solar projects under the net energy metering policy developed by the Ministry of Power Energy and Minerals Resources (MPEMR).
GREL’s tireless effort invested to mitigate the impacts of global warming, climate change, salinity, and drought by bringing renewable energy into the society will continue. Through its journey, GREL became a close partner of the Ministry of Power Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh (MPEMR), Sustainable and Renewable Energy Authority of Bangladesh (SREDA), ENVISION (China), Orocube LLC (USA), BSCL (Bangladesh), Mutual Empressa Limited (MEL) and Spectra Engineers Ltd. In many projects, all these organizations are working as partners. We cooperate with a lot of well-known domestic enterprises and research institutions to apply RE technology to daily use products and transportation. Our solutions have been successfully implemented in many solar projects in the country. We commit to offering a complete solution to customers by combining planning, system integration, and engineering construction.
